Black Nights Stars Workshop "Beyond the selftape"

A practical workshop exploring what happens between an actor’s preparation, their choices and what the camera ultimately receives.
Drawing on principles associated with Stanislavski, Stella Adler and Brecht, the workshop looks at circumstances, objectives, action, imagination, presence, rhythm and the actor’s relationship to the unexpected. Rather than treating these approaches as a fixed method, the work uses them as practical tools for examining how an actor enters a scene, listens, responds, creates meaning and remains alive when the expected rhythm or circumstances change.
