The European Genre Forum, a six-month training cycle for emerging European genre filmmakers, opens a call for submissions for 2026. In three talent labs between July and November, the EGF gives genre film projects a boost artistically, businesswise and in understanding its audience potential

As part of the new leadership structure, Dhanushka Gunathilake has been appointed as Head of Discovery Campus, PÖFF’s talent and industry platform. Gunathilake is an award-winning cinematographer and festival professional with over 15 years of international experience, as well as the founder of Sri Lanka’s first state-sponsored film school.

Denmark, the Netherlands and Estonia are launching "Mastering AI for European Film Professionals" (MAIEFP), a new annual executive training programme designed to equip Europe’s film decision-makers with a human-first approach to AI leadership.
