The largest international co-production market in Northern Europe, the Baltic Event Co-Production Market, is now accepting project submissions. This year’s edition will once again feature the prestigious Eurimages Co-Production Development Award and will continue accepting youth and children’s film projects.
All eligible projects submitted to the market will have the opportunity to compete for the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award. This award includes a non-reimbursable grant of €20,000, designated exclusively for the development of feature-length fiction, animation, or youth documentary co-productions.
Following the success of last year’s initiative, the market will again highlight projects for younger audiences, welcoming full-length fiction, documentary, and animated films for children and youth.
Held annually since 2005, the Baltic Event Co-Production Market welcomes feature film projects primarily from small and medium-sized production companies based in countries with low to medium audiovisual production capacity. These include: Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, North Macedonia, Georgia, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Ukraine, and this year’s Focus Country – Catalonia and Spotlight Country – Austria. Projects from other countries may also apply if they are actively seeking co-production partners from the listed territories.
Since its inception in 2002, the Baltic Event Co-Production Market has showcased over 400 projects, many of which have gone on to screen internationally and win awards at leading festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Karlovy Vary, Warsaw, Cairo, and Tribeca—with several earning Oscar and Golden Globe nominations.
In 2025, the Baltic Event Co-Production Market will take place from 19–21 November, with broader industry events running from 14–21 November in Tallinn.
Submissions are open until 14 July 2025.
