Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event has opened the final calls for its 2026 edition. Submissions are now invited for Works in Progress, which showcases promising feature films in production or post-production. For the first time, open calls have also been launched for TV Beats Screenings, presenting recently completed drama series, and Coming Soon, aimed at series with one or more episodes completed that are seeking additional financing. Two Discovery Campus programmes are also calling for participants: Breaking into the Industry, aimed at aspiring producers, and Tallinn Industry Academy, designed for emerging professionals working in film circulation.
The Works in Progress programme welcomes promising feature-film projects currently in production or post-production. Selected projects will be presented to international sales agents, festival programmers, and other industry professionals in Tallinn on 19 November 2026.
The projects will be showcased in three sections: Just Film, dedicated to children’s and youth films; Baltic Event Works in Progress, presenting projects from the Baltic countries and Finland; and International Works in Progress.
The programme welcomes feature-length fiction, animation, and hybrid live-action/animation films and documentaries in case of Just Film Works in Progress, intended for theatrical distribution and with potential for the international market. Selected projects are chosen based on artistic quality, originality, and international potential. The best projects in the International and Baltic Event category are both awarded 6000€ post-production services and a 1000€ travel allowance to Czechia by Studio Beep.
Alongside its film programmes, Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event also places a strong focus on drama series. For the first time, TV Beats Screenings has launched an open call to discover some of the freshest new series from around the world and bring them to the attention of international sales agents, distributors and other professionals from the television and film industries. The TV Beats Coming Soon section, meanwhile, is aimed at drama series projects with one or two episodes already completed that are seeking additional financing. Selected titles will be showcased in Tallinn as part of the TV Beats Forum, Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event’s strand dedicated to drama series. “For the past two editions, TV Beats has screened hand-picked high quality drama series from the region and above. Well established as an important market event, we will now open up the application process to producers and creators worldwide”, says Toomas Ili, the curator of TV Beats Screenings.
Applications are also open for two programmes now joining Discovery Campus: Breaking into the Industry and Tallinn Industry Academy. Both have been part of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event for several years, and their inclusion in Discovery Campus will offer participants additional opportunities to connect with emerging professionals from across the audiovisual sector.
Breaking into the Industry: Mentorship Programme for Aspiring Producers is a programme created especially for Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event and led by distinguished industry veteran Katriel Schory. Combining group sessions, one-to-one mentoring and interactive industry events, the programme explores the many dimensions of creative producing—from identifying compelling stories and navigating the development process to strengthening leadership and decision-making skills.
Tallinn Industry Academy, a programme for emerging professionals working in film circulation, will take place for the third time in 2026. Developed in cooperation with the Locarno Film Festival, the programme is primarily aimed at young professionals working in small and medium-sized markets who wish to develop their skills and expand their international networks in sales, marketing, distribution, exhibition, programming and curation. It is particularly suitable for participants who already work for an established company or have significant professional experience in one of these fields.
All the submissions are open from August 3 until September 14, 2026.
Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event (ITBE) is the leading business and networking platform for the audiovisual industry in Northern Europe. Held annually in November as part of the renowned Black Nights Film Festival, in Tallinn, Estonia, ITBE brings together a vibrant international community of filmmakers, producers, sales agents, and decision-makers. Last year the event welcomed over 850 industry professionals across its eight-day programme.
In 2026, Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event celebrates its 25th edition, taking place from 9–20 November.
