During the spring and summer of 2024, Discovery Campus invites young professionals in the film industry to participate in various open workshops and master classes designed for cinematographers, actors, screenwriters, and film music enthusiasts, among others. So check the schedule and sign up!

On 6 May, musicians, composers, music professionals, and film and TV professionals interested in licensing music for sync are welcome to join an open masterclass with Music Supervisor Thomas Golubić, "Writing music for film and TV". The one-day masterclass covers various topics, including understanding creative briefs, working through briefs from ongoing projects, discussing sourcing and delivery preparation, and providing specific feedback on music delivery.

The masterclass is held by Thomas Golubić, a four-time Emmy-nominated music supervisor, two-time Grammy-nominated record producer, music podcast host, and DJ. His music supervision credits include Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Ray Donovan, Halt and Catch Fire, and Six Feet Under. He is a founding member and former president of the Guild of Music Supervisors and owner of the Los Angeles-based SuperMusicVision (SMV), which provides music supervision services focusing on top-tier film and television.

On 7 May, Eesti Kinoliit and the Estonian Film Institute are presenting a seminar on "The Role of the Intimacy Coordinator at The Set". In the first half of the day, Irma Pužauskaitė, one of the few certified intimacy coordinators in the Baltics, will discuss the profession. After the lecture, there will be an opportunity for questions and answers.

In the second half of the day, the event will map the current situation in Estonia. The panel, consisting of local film professionals, will discuss their experience and the role and necessity of an intimate coordinator on the set.

All screenwriters are invited to attend the master class for top Italian screenwriter Nicola Lusuardi's "TV Series, the Narrative Revolution", which will take place from 12 to 13 July in Tallinn.

Italian screenwriter Nicola Lusuardi works with the best in the field and constantly develops dozens of projects. He takes only three weeks a year out of his busy schedule to teach. In other words, the opportunity to participate in his master class is rare and cannot be missed!

Nicola Lusuardi has worn many hats in the audiovisual industry since 1990 - primarily as a playwright and screenwriter. Still, he has also acted as a script consultant, supervisor, and creative producer for various Italian and European broadcasters and production companies. From 2013 to 2019, he consulted the original scripted content produced by Sky Italy. Since 2020, Nicola has been the Head of Development at The Apartment Pictures, a Fremantle company focused on international projects (Priscilla by Sofia Coppola, The Young Pope and The Hand of God by Paolo Sorrentino, My Brilliant Friend by Saverio Costanzo, etc).
