Projects Presented by PÖFF Received Two Awards from Goes to Cannes

On 18 May at the Marche du Film in Cannes, the winners of this year's Goes to Cannes showcase were announced. Tallinn Black Nights Film festival (PÖFF) presented two of the three awarded projects.

German Golub’s second feature At Your Service, an Estonian-German co-production, received the €15,000 prize by Ciné+ OCS. Golub’s student film My Dear Corpses won the First Prize at the Student Academy Awards in 2020.

The Daughters, written and directed by Daniel Romero Bueno, was awarded with €10,000 MG by Sideral Cinema, the Spanish film studio specializing in the sales and distribution of international independent film. The Daughters also represents PÖFF’s 2026 Spotlight on the Basque. Audiovisual.

Triin Tramberg, the Project Manager of PÖFF Goes to Cannes, expressed great joy over the awards: “We are honored and delighted to receive these awards as PÖFF prepares to celebrate its 30th anniversary. These recognitions are a true acknowledgment of the festival’s strong artistic vision and commitment to quality,” she added.

PÖFF Goes to Cannes 2026 projects are now up on Cinando, looking for sales agents and festival premiers.

Each year, the Marché du Film gives international film festivals and markets the opportunity to host curated showcases in Cannes, presenting original works-in-progress and offering emerging filmmakers a platform to pitch their projects to sales agents, distributors, and festival programmers. The lineup features films in various stages of post-production, highlighting diverse cultures, fresh cinematic voices, and unique perspectives from around the world. In 2026, seven festivals around the world participated at Goes to Cannes.
