Ten European projects have been selected for the 2026 TV Beats Co-Financing Market.
Returning for its sixth edition, the TV Beats Co-Financing Market brings forward bold new drama projects with strong international sales, distribution and co-production potential.
According to TV Beats Forum co-heads Petri Kemppinen and Roosa Toivonen, this year’s selection highlights the Baltic region but also goes quite far beyond the Baltics. Petri Kemppinen quotes: “This year’s selection reflects the diversity of stories being developed at our core region and beyond. The three countries with most submissions were Czechia, Estonia and Finland, but we do have projects from other ends of Europe like Ireland and Spain, and big production countries like Belgium and Poland are also in with prominent proposals."
TV Beats Forum co-head Roosa Toivonen describes this year’s projects as follows: ”We’re always amazed at the sheer resilience of producers in our core regions – The Baltics as a bridge between The Nordics and Central Eastern Europe – who very resourcefully put together great projects despite the relatively difficult overall market situation. All of them should of course be rewarded for their hard work, but we’re grateful to the Council of Europe to be able to showcase ten of these projects with tremendous potential vying for the Co-Development Award this year.”
