For the third consecutive year, TV Beats Screenings will showcase seven recently completed drama series, offering presenting teams the opportunity to screen an episode of their series, followed by an audience Q&A. Participants will be able to connect with broadcasters, financiers, sales agents and other industry professionals through targeted meetings.
Toomas Ili, the curator of TV Beats Screenings said “What started out as an add-on to TV Beats, has now grown into an essential part of the festival with high number of submissions and fierce competition, coming together to a strong selection of remarkable series from all around the world.”
Taking place on November 15–17, TV Beats Screenings will give participants access to masterclasses, panels and discussions held as part of the TV Beats Forum.

As a new addition to the programme, TV Beats Picks showcases 10 projects that are still looking for development or financing partners and some series that are already or very soon completed.
According to Petri Kemppinen and Roosa Toivonen, the co-heads of TV Beats Forum: “Generally we feel that case studies are interesting. This lineup could be defined as a mix of different and somehow sparkling projects that have caught our eyes during the recent months as curators of TV Beats. Some of our Picks are selections from the lineup of our partner events like Conecta Fiction in Spain, Seriencamp in Germany and Cinelink Drama in Bosnia & Herzegovina. With those events we do a yearly exchange of projects that need to connect to our region, either for co-production or financing. But we also show series that are close to release or completion, to be able to present some interesting collaborations like the Finnish-Estonian Helsinki-Tallinn, or to honor a major landmark series like the Swedish Thin Blue Line or to have a look at some new territories like this year Japan and Korea.”
